Trusted by the Marine Industry

From marine safety manufacturers and lifeboat organisations to sailing charities, professional operators and RYA training centres.

MOB Lifesavers are being used across a wide range of marine environments by organisations that need practical, reliable solutions for recovering people from the water.

Tested With Leading Lifejacket Brands

Designed to work with the equipment sailors already trust.

MOB Lifesavers will fit all brands and models of lifejacket. And sailors can fit what they like to their own lifejackets. But if someone is to sell a brand new lifejacket with an MOB Lifesaver then to maintain the warranty on the lifejacket that model needs to have been tested and approved for the inclusion of an MOB Lifesaver.

MOB Lifesavers have been conformity tested with lifejackets from Spinlock, SeaSafe, Baltic, Crewsaver and Mustang.

Trusted by Sailing Schools, Charities & Training Organisations

Keeping people safe is their responsibility. They trust MOB Lifesavers to be part of it.

MOB Lifesavers are fitted to the lifejackets used by sailing charities, youth sailing organisations and RYA training centres across the UK. These organisations put people on the water every day — including children, young people, people recovering from illness and those learning to sail — and have chosen to make MOB Lifesavers part of their onboard safety equipment.

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust was among the first to recognise the value of having a Lifesaver in every lifejacket, while organisations including Discovery Sailing Project, Ocean Youth Trust, Rona Sailing Project, Disabled Sailing Association, Morning Star Trust and Challenge Wales have also fitted Lifesavers to their lifejackets. The Rona Sailing Project has fitted them across its fleet, with custom-length Lifesavers made for vessels with greater freeboard.

RYA training centres including First Class Sailing, Premier Sailing and Westview Sailing are also using MOB Lifesavers, putting them into the equipment their students rely on while learning and training on the water.

They trust MOB Lifesavers with the people in their care.

Safety Doesn’t Stop at Recreational Sailing

Professional crews are using MOB Lifesavers where lifejackets are part of everyday working life.

Commercial users include Dunkirk Pilots, Teesport Pilots, Tampa Bay Pilots, NIFCA, Brown & May Windfarm Support, Port of Houston, SeaSafe Systems and Cooke Aquaculture Salmon Farms.

For professional crews working on or around the water, having a practical way to secure someone who cannot help themselves is a critical part of being prepared.

Proven Through Practical Experience

Tested, demonstrated and evaluated by people who understand the reality of casualty recovery.

Hamble Lifeboat has supported and endorsed MOB Lifesavers, while practical testing and training exercises have helped demonstrate how the system can be used to secure a casualty from the boat.

Independent sailing professionals have also highlighted the value of the Lifesaver when dealing with an unconscious casualty particularly the ability to get hold of and control the casualty before setting up the lifting system.

Independent Review: Yachting Monthly

“The easiest and almost only way to secure the casualty”

In March 2022, Yachting Monthly tested the MOB Lifesaver as part of its review of man overboard recovery equipment. Rachael Sprot highlighted the Lifesaver’s ability to give the crew a secure connection to an unconscious casualty from the boat, allowing them to secure the casualty while preparing the recovery system.

“We found that this was the only way we could reliably control casualty alongside and the only way we could get hold of an unconscious casualty.”

Her conclusion was equally clear: “Fit Lifesavers to your lifejackets.”
